School of Law course accreditation
University of Nottingham Licensing Agreement
The University of Nottingham (UoN) has licensed the endorsement of training delivery for the “Legal Efficiency and Contract Management Course”, delivered on behalf of the Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD) by Battrick Consultancy. The course is delivered in the form of a Technical Workshop and focuses on various tendering procedures, legal efficiency in project cycle management and public policy procurement aimed at the international mine action community. It promotes quality, risk and safety management principles in the land release process when dealing with extensive land contamination of Explosive Remnants of War (ERW).
The programme is also approved by the ILM and International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (iirsm). The course provides a first class opportunity to strengthen synergies with GICHD who work hard to reduce the impact of mines, cluster munitions and other explosive hazards in post-conflict regions. The first approved module was delivered in November 2017, Dushanbe, Tajikistan and the next module is scheduled to take place at Geneva at the Maison de la paix building, where university staff from the Nottingham School of Law will be invited to support the module and help promote public policy procurement best-practice.
